My Company (delayed)

Newborns build their own company immediately after birth. Mine is registered as AGSamson Pty Ltd with ABN 1905070507 (who can guess what this mean?). They initially employ their parents. Some employ grandparents, relatives or friends as casual or part-time workers.

Let me introduce to you three vital areas of my company:

MY OFFICE

This is where I do most of my work. I used to share my parents’ office but I’ve got my own now. However, there are times when I share their office.

FOOD SUPPLY DEPARTMENT

These are the equipment used in food processing. Mum is the food supplier and chairperson of this department. However, if the supply from mum is low, Nestle becomes an alternate supplier to cope with high demand.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL UNIT

These are the equipment and tools used in disposing rubbish. Dad is the all-rounder member of this department. He ensures the bottom front and back is hygienically clean. Mum is also a part-time staff of this unit.

My First Month

19th of June was my first month

What had happened so far?

My birth weight was 3,070 grams
The average weight gain is 150 to 200 grams
I lost 220 grams during my first week
I gained 300 grams the following week
Growth spurt or feeding frenzy?
It doesn’t matter as long as I’m healthy
And what have I done so far?

I cried, I fed, and I slept
I smiled, I giggled, and I laughed
I wet my cot and my parents’ bed
I made them go over their head
I used my parents as my loo
But I made them smile and laugh too

My Animal Song

Pugita Cow Yak Hen
Pugita Cow Yak Hen
Pugita… Pugita…
Pugita Cow Yak Hen

Pugita Cow Yak Hen
Pugita Cow Yak Hen
Si AG… Si AG…
Pogi Takaw ‘Yakin!

Welcome!

G'day mate! My name is Anthony Gene Samson. AG for short.

This is my personal blogsite. I don't even know what that is, however, my papa is my writer and helps me manage it. I create the contents.

I'm from down under. I used to live in a placenta full of water for thirty-eight weeks and one day. It was too dark in there but I wasn't scared. I can't fit in that anymore as I grew. I can hardly move so I decided to come out. I got out with my mum's help after an hour and forty-five minutes of trying.

I was born seven minutes past five in the morning (AEST) of the nineteenth of May year two thousand and seven at Westmead Hospital, Westmead, New South Wales.

Could you believe that? I was born 05/07 at 05:07. What a coincidence!

I weigh 3,070 grams and 48.5 centimetres long. My body temperature was 36.7 degrees Celsius and my head circumference 37.5 centimetres. The midwife said I have a tongue-tie but found no major problem about it. Overall, the paediatrician said, I'm ok.

It's the first time I saw my parents. They said I'm 'guwapo'. Some hospital staff and visitors said I'm cute. I'm not sure what they mean. I don't even know how I look.

My dad's name is Gines and my mum's name is Joy. My hobbies are crying, sleeping and breastfeeding. I'm really good at crying and sleeping. I'm still learning how to feed. When I was in the placenta, I didn't have any problem feeding myself. There was abundance of food in there.

What interest me right now are the people around me. I don't know any of them. I do recognize some of their voices like my soft-spoken parents and loud grandma.

My parents told me that we have relatives in the Philippines and United States of America. I wish I could see them.

If you want to see more of me, I have some more pictures at

Thank you for visiting me. Please come back soon. See you!
